The Curse of the Clock
Short screenplay - By Victor Cekola

A story chronicling the battle between man's obsession with the measure of time vs. Pan, the detester of all constraints... This timely piece demonstrates what historically happens to humanity when left to its own devices.

Milton
Comedy - Short story
By Victor Cekola

Across the facetious backdrop of a colonial-period adventure quest, "Milton" is a low-key comedy about a small-stature man in his mid-30's whose neighbors think he's gay due to his fastidious grooming, and for the way he likes things 'just so'.   Other than the looks his neighbors give him, Milton relishes the life he lives with drone repetition. The day has arrived when a train of tiny mishaps cause Milton to relate to others on a different level.   And he decides to exchange a little of his comfortable routine for a taste of the better life.

Mysteries of the Rosary
Non-Fiction - By Victor Cekola

A devotional written to introduce those so inclined to the history, structure and significance of the prayer beads, described as the Angelic Psalter, the 'battering ram of spiritual warfare,' and 'the foundation stone of the New Testament.'

The Joyous, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary are examined as a chronicling of the story of the redemption of humanity, and are accompanied by pertinent Scripture passages.

The Psychological Assessment of Ruby Tamara Withers
Suspense - Short story
By Victor Cekola

After learning that a telephone customer has committed suicide, Ruby, a young woman who has worked as a psychic medium, begins to hear 'other' voices, and finds herself committed to a psychiatric facility. Ruby's sense of isolation is magnified as much by the 'arm's-length' objective approach of her professional caregivers, as by her straight jacket.   Under the treatment of a second-year intern, her condition worsens, which induces him to try to recruit a seasoned psychiatrist who specializes in auditory hallucinations.

Saving Face
Comedy - Single act stage play
By Victor Cekola

Two soldiers at a bar....the senior of the two is a 'glass-ceiling' sergeant who has a bayou background and the accent to match. To a private in his unit, the sergeant tells of the legendary prowess of a superior officer who has since moved into the civilian sector. According to the sergeant, the 'Lieutenant' employed rather unorthodox, yet surprisingly effective and evasive maneuvers to keep his troops out of harm's way. Raise a glass to the Man of War without war.

What I Wanted to Say
Comedy - Full length screenplay
By Victor Cekola

Loosely based on the Cyrano de Bergerac tragedy, one highly privileged college student, Rob, deceptively strong-arms a blue-collar classmate, Nathan, into advising him on how to attract women.   Nathan grooms the socially inept Rob, and coaches him through a gauntlet of all-too-familiar dating scenarios.   Through the use of telephony, Nathan unwittingly assists Rob in wooing the woman of his own dreams.   But as always, true love won't be fooled for very long.

Why is the Sky Blue?
Children - Short story
By Victor Cekola

This is a story about a seven-year-old boy who is curious as to why the sky is blue.   His search for an answer ultimately takes him to the side of his grandmother who conjures up an etymological tale about how the sun, the earth and the sea existed before the sky was blue. Through anthropomorphic fancy, she turns the elements into characters that learn to live with one another and, thereby, make the world a beautiful place in which to live.

A reference is included for the actual answer to the title question.
